dc.description.abstract The article presents the main topics of discussion at the European Council summit in June 2018: migration, security and defense, issues related to employment, growth and competitiveness, problems of innovation and digital aspects, other aspects. Migration was analyzed at an informal summit of the 16 Member States on June 24 without delivering any official statement. On 28 June 2018, despite some strong disagreements one could reach an agreement on greater control of the external borders of the EU, the support and cooperation with countries of origin and tranzit, on readmission agreements, on a common European asylum, on reform of Dublin Regulation. As regards security and defense, besides a European Military Intervention Force agreed previously, it has been insisted on meeting the PESCO commitments, the further development of initial projects and the institutional framework, on establishing new projects selected in next November, on the European Industrial Development Program in the Field of Defense and on recording further progress for the European Defense Fund, on the the content of Common Defence and Security Policy. en_US
